Best Days Of Our Lives
by John Michael Ray

Taking pictures in that photo booth
Sweet on lies and forgetting the truth
Covering up to keep from hurting each other
Coming home from our favourite bar
A Sunday drive, cruising in the car
Thank you, for being my friend and lover

If it all should end tomorrow
I wouldn’t want to change a thing
I’m glad we gave each other
The best days of our lives
I’m glad we had our chance to sing

Walking up and down Yonge street
Stopping off, for a bite to eat
It’s cold outside, I wish we were home tonight
Then again, baby you’re so warm
Finding comfort in any storm
Feels so good, baby it feels so right

Up ‘til early morning making love
Euphoric manna, from up above
My spirit crying to come back home to you
If this is wrong, I don’t want to be right
Say no good-byes, no good-nights
Exchanging soul songs, the whole night through

If it all should end tomorrow
I wouldn’t want to change a thing
I’m glad we gave each other
The best days of our lives
I’m glad we had our chance to sing
